The Lost Portraits

Tocquigny.com has arrived.
I played a small part in the redesign of my company’s website, namely the tag cloud and the portraits of those who wrote whitepapers. Sadly, the portraits were extinguished. However, it’s okay; I have some great work out of it and I hope the company and the work I do for it continues to inspire my personal work.

Very fresh style here! These are the kind of portraits that are always enjoyable to look at it! Well done!

These are great. I love how “vectorized” your inking style is starting to look, but still a little bit more organic. The likenesses are dead on (not that I know any of these people, but I did sneak a peak on the website and saw their photos).

I have to admit, I’m not sure if I liked working like this. I was basing the look off of several things, one was Art Nuvo with the line weight and interrior softness. Another was the CG work on ‘A Scanner Darkley’. They wanted the portraits to be very graphic. After a while they turned into these.

I like them, not not 100% my thing, though.

Still nice to get to do them for work!
    Thanks guys!
