This is the first of the four illustrations I am re-working. I know they are not professional portfolio concepts, but they are works that always felt like they ‘could have been better’. This re-working stems from this week’s Illustration Friday topic ‘Geeky’. I have done several Star Wars based drawings and illustrations in the past… this started senior year of college, a little over a year ago. I illustrated four friends as Star Wars characters (most are not large fans of the movies).
This is Kelsea as Boussh the bounty hunter seen in Return of the Jedi.

Ahh! I love it.
The composition is a little more comfortable and looks like me a little more. Good luck with it! I want to see the final version!
Great line work.
love the improvements to your blog, and looking forward to see the other drawings
Oo the revision is so much better! I like the pose/expression here, and the depth w/ her hand holding the ball (bomb?) is much more convincing.
Wooo! Thanks guys.
Yeah, this one I think was the worst (sorry Kelsea). Now I love it!
Rosie, that is a thermal detonator (bomb).
I was obsessed with that format for everything at the time, now I can see that detail are lost when trying to stuff something into a format. I look forward to finishing this and working on the others!
Amazing!
I love seeing new Star Wars art.
I think that means I have to buy you a Jack & Coke. (previously my favorite drink before I quit drinking) You are a man of good taste.
Thanks for visiting my place.
I really like the flow in the figure drawing this time around. Her extended neck creates adds a layer of grace that was missing from the first. Your line weight variation is also a lot more sophisticated. I am kind of confused by what’s going on with her left hand, though.
The left hand is holding the mask. I am hoping it will be more apparent when it’s colored- if not I just need to adjust the lines.
THANKS!

Great idea to show the improvements, I like the more natural pose you gave her, great job!
