This is a doodle, that took two days…
It started with me trying to draw Tina’s iron while it was out, and ended with this.
This turned into a retrospective work-ish. I had written this story a LONG time ago called ‘Testament of a Warrior’ and this is one of the characters from it. Much better than the semi-anime-ish predecessor. The original:

Amazing. It’s a scan of a printout of a scan…
I drew this in Photoshop with a ‘blue pencil’, really just blue lines, and then took that into FLASH. I ‘inked’ it in flash, which is really fast and gives it that ‘real-life ink density’ that I am always missing from my computer work.

While the background is lacking and the subject not incredibly interesting, I am still very satisfied with it for the little things. I feel like a lot my work recently has been a re-exploration; i guess as artists we never REALLY stop exploring. As an illustrator we feel reluctant to explore or change too much too quickly- our “style” or “mode of working” is like a signature in the industry. It’s a little give and take, I think.
All in all.
I am satisfied.
